Welcome to the Demo of SDET360
I will log in to the application.
We are following a tenant-based architecture. I will select the associated vertical and corresponding project.
Here, we can see the Quality Dashboard, which is configurable based on product needs. It displays key metrics such as Total Tests, Total Stories, Total Defects, and Total Automation.
Next is the Quality Report for the current release, which shows the percentage of objectives met, test coverage reports, and the defect trend from the last four weeks.
It also includes bug-wise epic coverage and quality objectives for the current release.
Business Requirements
You will be presented with two options: Generate New Epic or Use Existing Epic.
Select your epic number, upload the transcript for the epic, and click on the Generate button.
Based on the provided information, a list of stories will be created.
Here, we follow a creator and reviewer flow. For example, I have selected two stories that I believe are suitable and will assign them to the Product Owner for review.
Now, I have logged in as a reviewer. I can see a notification that two stories have been assigned to me for review. I click on the notification to take action — I accept one story and reject the other with comments. Then, I click Export to JIRA, and I can see the associated JIRA stories.
Once the JIRA stories are created, the QA team starts writing test cases for them.
Here, we have options for Web Testing, API Testing, and Automation Testing. For this demo, I’ll click on the Test Case Generator under Functional Testing.
I enter the story number and click the Generate Test Cases button.
This module also follows the review flow — User A creates test cases and submits them for approval.
On the reviewer side, I receive a notification. I click Approve for both test cases, and the associated test case IDs are generated.
Test Case Management
Next, we have the Test Case Management tool.
Here, we can see two options — Test Case Overview, where all approved test cases are displayed, and the Release Execution Cycle.
I can view the data for any test case.
In Test Case Execution, we can create a cycle for the current release, including test cases that are part of the regression suite.
In this manual cycle, we can see the total cases in the cycle and their real-time execution status to track whether we are meeting deadlines. I can execute the test cases directly from here.
Similarly, we have the Automation Test Cycle, where we add test cases to the automation cycle created in the previous step.
Automation
After test case management, we move to Automation.
First, we have the Locator Generator, where we can generate locators based on a URL or DOM.
We support multiple tools and frameworks.
I enter the URL and click on the Generate Locator button — the locators can then be directly used in our automation framework.
Next, to generate an Automation Script, I enter the test case ID and click Fetch.
All the information related to that test case is displayed. By clicking Generate and Execute, AI automatically creates and executes the script.
Once the script is executed, it is saved in the Library, from where you can re-execute it, view the source code, download the report, or modify the script as needed.
From the DevOps perspective, if we want to assess code coverage from both automation and manual scripts — and identify untested or stale areas — we can view the report here.
It can easily integrate with deployment pipelines.
We can view release-wise coverage, and this feature supports not just Java, but also Angular and Python.
Profile
Lastly, we have the Profile section, where we can update the JIRA token and view the projects we have access to.
